  • Anyone in WA (Claremont) able to look at a machine? Coffee/beer/wine for your effort

    Hey all,

I recently bought a used Rocket Giotto, which I love. But then I got a major case of upgradeitis, and I'm now looking at a Linea Mini.

Is anyone around WA/Perth/Claremont area with a bit of basic knowledge able to check out the machine prior to purchase? I'm based in NSW so a little hard for me... Happy to offer some cash or coffee/beer/wine shipped to you for your effort!

    Cheers,
    Scotty

    (I removed your double posts, that's a forum no-no)

Shipping coffee machines cross country is the same as finding a 6 shooter, inserting 3 bullets, spinning the chamber and pulling the trigger. Russian roulette has way better odds!

Really good packaging helps but isn't a guarantee.

Hopefully you can find a CS'r to have a look at it and maybe someone who can recommend a responsible freight service.

    Good luck!

Pack it to within an inch of its life. Here's one in really good OEM packing, secured to a skid which TNT prepared last week for a Melbourne bloke.. It's deceased, dead, no longer moving.

Presumably, it was delivered from a height of 100m via the highly secret drone service they're not telling us about.

And yes, they did return it back to the seller in the OEM carton but upside down per the photos.

        Sheesh, what a bloody shame...
Triple shame on the courier involved.

      OMG

That is messed up. Now I'm a little worried.

I had good experience getting my Giotto shipped from SA to NSW, but I'm a little more concerned about a machine like Linea Mini... :/

Depends what you want. I'm happy to check it works, but a mechanical inspection or anything like that is beyond my capabilities.

I dropped a washing machine out the back of the ute on weekend, onto concrete from about 1/2 4wd tailgate height. They really are quite unwieldy by oneself, even with a trolley.
          It might have survived...

Heart breaking to see that coffee machine messed up
