too true luca ~ thanks for pointing that out I cant wait to get my home internet account up and running so that i am not dependant upon my mobile keyboard! The good news is however that with my shift across town im now much closer to a minor place, and bbb for that matter, which can only be a good thing ~ Pat

um his name is spelt: salvatore & i believe mark will have an ongoing roll for the next 12 months
If youre going to jump on obvious typos, I might point out that in this context one would usually say "role" instead of "roll" ;P

(Now someone else can continue typo spotting!)

    Cheers,

    Luca

    Re: St Ali News

    Hi all,
sounds like Id better spill the beans, so to speak. Its a little sad to be leaving St Ali, we have worked hard and I feel we are just really starting to see some of the fruit of those labours, the place isnt that old and it has been a steep learning curve. The facts, Salvatore is involved in the purchase, however another party was the person who has kept on approaching me. No real ongoing relationship, we wish them all the best and will advise a couple of hours a month but have no other input, "original post modified" Sal, after having a good chat, is the owner and is looking forward to having a hands on role. I think that St Ali should  be able to continue on the same path, all staff are staying and green sources for O/S will still be used.
We have not sold BBB and have some plans to expand into a recently acquired premises directly to the rear of BBB.  The general plan is to spend some time looking over what we have learnt recently and perhaps do some cupping accreditation O/S. Hope this helps.
And thanks to everyone who made the place what it is....
    Mark

Savatore bought St Ali and was my old boss before I moved to Veneziano. Interesting news.

I must say Brother Baba Budan has changed my world ( and Im not on commission either!...). I have tried 6 ot 7 different varieties, from the entry-level espresso blend to some less obvious roasts.

Ive been there a few times with friends and colleagues for a morning or afternoon coffee and the in-store brews have been flawless.

So 2muchcoffeeman, please keep trying!... Your bad luck will change for sure!

    Go the Brother!!!

Yeah; so much for us keeping it hush-hush!

Yeah and talking about it over the WBC chat doesnt help the "hush" factor either haha

I have never had a bad experience at St Ali - One of my favourites, but a couple mates have had bad coffee!
    Interesting that he has sold.

One of the waitresses at BBB said I should watch out for exciting things and that they would start roasting next door or something.
Will be interesting to see what happens
