    Interesting read.....I can’t see “roasting coffee in the country of origin to reduce shipping weight” catching on

      Yep, always good to have a bit more information to fit into the jigsaw of the quest for reduced negative environmental impact.
      Paper take-away cups are my main source of concern, particularly their use for "dine-in" patrons - which I see regularly.
      I had my coffee served in one the other day when we had ordered sweets as well and had a table number.(so it was obvious we were dining-in)
      I marched back to the counter and took a cup off the top of the machine and decanted my cardboard cup (double cupped!) into it.
      I wondered if it rang any bells for them. Coffee was very good.
