  • Barista training courses in melbourne

So, after quickly being absorbed into the world of coffee and loving the process of espresso making and milk texturing I am interested in working at a specialty cafe. Does anyone have recommendations for the best place to get advanced barista training in Melbourne?

    Cheers

I would look up The Espresso School in Clayton run by David Seng. I did the 5 day Master Barista Course in 2019 and its such an amazing way to get a head start in the industry.

+1 for Dave Seng and the Espresso School.

Also, Melbourne Coffee Academy offers a 20 hour barista apprenticeship as well as a 4 day barista masterclass. They are highly regarded too.

            Just a follow up:

Went and did the basic espresso class at The Espresso School run by David Seng. It was awesome. He is a great instructor and put up with my non-stop questions. I loved that there was a huge portion of time spent on the machines pulling shot after shot and steaming loads. Gave me the opportunity I needed to make a lot of drinks in a row and start getting some workflow practice.

Thanks for the recommendations. Ill likely go back and do the latte art course soon.
