    Isn't that more or less how Decent came about? I seem to remember the original idea was a kickstarter or similar which promised a disruptive digital espresso machine, the people involved then found that it was much harder to make than they'd anticipated.

    The project foundered then eventually John rescued it and developed the Decent.

    While not something that would appeal to me, it is an interesting product and appears to be well thought out, if something of a niche market.
    Providing this type of funding is a bit of a gamble so people shouldn't get too upset if the product never happens.
    The mechanics of getting a product like this to the market is always intimidating and as with all products the cost of production Vs the price it can be sold for is hard to reconcile in small volumes. Breville could probably justify taking a punt but it is scary for a small start-up business.
    I could maybe see it having a market at around $75 - $100. as a bit of a novelty item for coffee nuts.

    Yes it’s been on here before I think. I’ve heard nothing since this article so I’m guessing it may have fallen over. Would need to check Indiegogo do an update.

    Did you guys know anything about this?
    It seems this was in the news for quite a while, but I just stumbled upon it recently.
