Amen to the silicon mats. They can look great are highly durable, easy to clean and cheap.

There are silicone mats in any number of sizes, thicknesses, surface textures, colors, and designs that would work far better than any metal or plastic tray for your application as either of those could scratch/mar the marble and allow your machine to move around when in use. The silicone mats would do neither.

They're sold for all kinds of uses:
    • Dishes drying pad
    • Shelf/Drawer liner
    • Baking pan liner
    • Cooking surface on the Barby
Those tend to be the thinner mats. Thicker ones are sold for use as:
    • Toolbox/drawer liner
    • Mechanics protective pad
    • Utility shelf liner

    Tray for espresso machine?

We moved recently and the new kitchen has a white marble bench top. Other half is worried about water stains (or worse, coffee) on the marble. My Profitek 700 is 500x300mm. Anyone know of a stainless steel tray or even a protector mat that might save the day?
