    Agree with the above and will add...

    Grinding and temperature make a big difference too.
    Rule of thumb for a starting point is darker roasts are often better coarser (faster), lighter roasts can be a bit finer (slower).

    It's all about what YOU taste and what you like best so play around with the grinder and temperatures to see what works best for you.

    Don't discount espresso roasts, ground coarse with a splash of milk added... tastes like coffee compared to light roasts drunk black which can be too acidic for some people.

    The fun of good coffee is playing with the parameters to get a better result.

    That all comes down to personal preference and taste. In general lighter roasts are favoured for pour over methods - but there are no hard rules on what is a 'light' vs 'dark' roast. You are best off ordering some beans from BeanBay and giving them a go and work out what you like.
