The number on green bean bags has no real meaning for you. It's a sequential bagging number, internally it helps us determine the actual weight we received. ie: 300kg of beans should equal 120 x 2.5kg cotton bags (but never does!). It's possible that number will be repeated if we bag more and the hopper isn't empty.

The number on roasted coffee labels is also a sequential number but doesn't reset so the current 193,000+ number is how many stickers we've put on bags (500g or 2.5kg are the same). It's not 100% accurate as sometimes we have to reprint a label, have an oops and start roast day on the wrong number etc but it'll average out about right.

Both are vaguely useful for us to determine where things happened but not so useful for you.

A friend generously put all my bags of green beans in the one spot - which makes it tricky to know which are the older beans so to speak. Andy, does the number in the bottom right give any indication - eg w the fabulous Hamasil - I have bags w #s 10, 83 & 110 - does that mean anything. Thanks either way
