New way to RDT?

The new Fellow Ode v2 grinder has some sort of ionizer built in. My brief reading is that it electrocutes the beans to reduce static.

They both take a similar amount of time at espresso settings. Assume a 1min from whole beans to ready to to into portafilter and you might be pleasantly surprised. A few seconds either way isn't going to change much. Choose based on the flavour profile you after. They're not wildly different from each other.

Can you or anyone help with burr choices for the mini? I was leaning toward moonbeam but seems I’d have to grind tighter for espresso and I can’t find out how long that would take for 18g or so. Which are you using and roughly how long does it take? I’ll be using a Flair pro so can probably grind a bit coarser. Just looking for rough idea. Thanks!Originally posted by BT70359 View PostI’m using a lagom mini and found static levels to be quite high. To rdt I’ve been using a bit of steam from a distance approx 15cm directed into the beans . I have a eagle e1 Prima so the steam pressure is really strong. It seems to work quite well and a better workflow for me rather than a spray bottle. Just wondering if anyone else does this or has a better solution ?
btw my first post here ?

Not a bad combo but I do prefer a more traditional thicker espresso. The lagom mini is eventually going to be paired with a second machine hopefully a cremina for a very compact setup? If anyone has tried this pls let me know.Originally posted by 338 View PostWelcome. Interesting pairing of the Eagle and the mini. How do you like the pairing?

Isnt that called a Spittesso? chew some dark chocolate first and its a Chungo?Originally posted by Dankey61 View PostAfter weighing my beans in the dosing cup, I usually pour them directly into my mouth, swish them around a bit, and then spit them directly into the hopper. Welcome. I use the Lagom mini too and have the same issue with static. I’ll try your solution - until now I’ve been using a couple of drops of water but I like the steam idea.
