I find Monastery to be stylistically similar to TW in roast profile (and I believe they both roast on Lorings), but tend to pick different greens. Almanac is a slightly different style (less even all the way through, less development in the middle and more on the outside while still being very light, I like the slight mix of development for a more complex cup.

I rate monastary, they tend to be more into naturals which is not my thing. If you’re into naturals also check out edition roasters.

To throw my 2 cents into the mix, based in South Australia is Monastery Coffee, who makes some delicious but very bright and light roasted single origins (very light). Their selection comes in waves, and maybe gets updated every 3 months or so. Currently not many options to to choose from, since once a wave of new coffees come in, the good selections get typically sold within 6 weeks or so.

I’m currently getting monthly subscriptions from La Cabra, based out of Denmark, but if wasn’t for the slow turnover of beans with Monastery coffee, I definitely would go with them for my super light roast needs.

Thanks for the recommendations. Most I have tried before with a few hits and misses. Light roast also seems to be quite a broad term that is used. I wasn't aware of Made of Many and Newav so I will be sure to check them out.

High quality green coffee is available in Australia, you just have to know how and where to buy it.
As to finding a roaster that is consistent with their quality, that is the difficulty here in Australia.
    TW sets a high standard.

Unfortunately it will be a case of trial and error.

Good quality Kenyans are in abundance, the pick of the crop were snapped up.....

Good luck, most locals don’t have the green quality of consistency of TW.

but some to try: Artificer, seven seeds, ickle, Ona, made of many, normcore

If you want responses that are on point for you it would be a good idea to let people know just what/where is 'local' for your needs.

In the meantime have you had a look at this thread?

    Local Light Roast Favourites

I'm looking for some local recommendations for light roasted beans that are suitable for espresso. Earlier in the year, I started a Tim Wendelboe subscription for something different and was hugely impressed with the quality and flavours of the beans. I really love the variety of flavours most with distinctive fruit and balanced (to my palate) acidity. The Kenyans have been my absolute fav's.
I have not come across a local roaster that seem to do a similar style. Does anyone have some options for me to try?
    Thanks in advance.
Working...
