Re: Melaccino???
Mela means apple in Italian.
Melaccino is something that is very sweet - imagine concentrated apple juice or a sticky, fortified wine.
I guess if someone has christened a cap with marshmallow as a melaccino, its probably better than calling it a malcinno, mal meaning ill/sick. Come to think of it...

Re: Melaccino???
When I used to work for the the coffee club we served a mello-cino, guess what it was? I think that was around 3 or 4 years ago, and as the coffee club are mainly based up north, Id imagine it originated somewhere up there.
Whod want to destroy a perfectly good cappuccino like that anyway?

Re: Melaccino???
yeh i agree with psaigh, i used to work at coffee club in sydney about 18 months ago and we served a mello-chino, it was a mugaccino with a marshmellow in it!!!! surprisingly not very popular?????
if memory serves me correctly we also had a honey bunny or something along those lines, which was an espresso shot, in a latte glass, topped with cinnamon, followed by milk and then a swirl of honey on top.
