  • Questions on green beans

Hey all. First post question, as Im thinking about picking up some green beans here and home roasting in a popper. How long do green beans last, and how do you normally store them? Had a look through the forums but havent found much for newbies to the greens, so any useful info would be much appreciated.

    Cheers.

Not intending to contradict your reply KK (which is also true)

I prefer to remember them as the rule of 3’s

      3 YEARS for green beans.
      3 WEEKS for roasted.
      3 MINUTES for ground.

Of course, change the above to suit your own good or bad storage habits, environmental and climatic conditions.

      Oh, and welcome aboard Ozron!

Store them in a calico bag in a cool dry environment.

              Re: Questions on green beans

Thanks everyone for the prompt replies. I can see why going green is so popular, especially to get the freshest grind. Will have to pick up the green bean sampler and give it a try.

              Cheers.
