Hi all
As there has been some trepidation among CSers about buying the Coffee of Excellence sample pack and roasting it themselves, how does this sound for an idea:
Those who have purchased, or intend to purchase, a CoE sample pack to pool one of the beans and get them roasted together as one batch by someone who has plenty of roasting experience. I have discussed this with Dennis from Cuppacoffee and he is agreeable to do the honours and make Dudley available. Perhaps even turn it into a bit of a workshop to learn a bit from Dens roasting knowledge. I insisted on Den accepting some sort of payment for his time and effort, but we will work out those details if the idea gets enough interest.
So this post is just to get expression of interest from CoE buyers and would like to take part in this joint roast/workshop. Please post a reply (or PM me).
FWIW, I have no roasting experience but opportunities to experience among the best coffees available would not come up very often and this idea sounded like win-win to me.
