Im still finding the limits of my corretto.
After a bit of encouraging from other roasting snobbers I lifted the roast size to 500g, at this level my paddle was well covered.
The limitting factor turned out to be my 1600W Ryobi heat gun. I ran the gun on high the whole time with a piece of timber place on top of the basket partially covering it.
With 500g in the basket I was running slow and low temps the whole way up the roasting curve ..... Finally at 15.40min I hit a FC at 192 ..... and it continued for some time , hit SC at 214 after 23min .
I guess without a more powerful 2000W HG , I will have to bring roast volume down to 400g that the current HG can cope with.
any thoughts
