Re: Brazil Bourbons
What are you roasting it with?
Im just enjoying the last of my Brazil Bourbon Bold from a few beanbays ago, which I imagine is pretty similar to this one.
I took it to slowly to 100 degrees by about 3:30, then ramped up to FC by about 12:30-13:00, then eased off so SC just started at about 18:00, at which point I pulled it RIGHT on SC.
This was the first bean I roasted with and while most of it was pretty so so, now that Ive nailed it, its a really nice bean, particularly as an espresso or double in a latte. Very sweet and chocolaty.

Re: Brazil Bourbons
Have just done my 2nd batch of these.
Did roughly about the same as ACog
Got to FC at about 12.30 (pretty even ramp all the way) then reduced heat to get about 2-3*/min. SC at 17.30, pulled within 15secs. (Still working on my unloading routine).
These beans start fairly mild (1 day) then develop a stronger flavour a couple of days later. Quite a chocolaty taste.
I like a double basket pulled as a single in a latte. (Is this a ristretto?)

Re: Brazil Bourbons
I am impressed, pulled them out just into SC and come out beautiful colour and after two days resting taste pretty damn fine. as they rest a little longer im guessing they will be even better. Now going to try blending some different roast profiles. I am hooked to home roasting already. My wife is hooked on the drinking part only :
