A non transparent bag with a one way valve...  Uncovered if you wish to possible hasten the process.. But  once again.. The issues is all teh variables  :

    1: Temp
    2: Humidity
    3: Air flow
    4: Light / UV
5: Air volume... In a cupboard or on da bench  :
6: Pets that like to nibble beans  ;D

Every option has pros and cons..  Just like making a coffee.. Find what works for you and be HAPPY.

The sealed bag tends to put things on an even playing field and you can compare across the WORLD.. Open to the elements and no two will ever be the same or repeatable.. Unless you have your own controlled Atm room.

As Java "always got an opinion" Phile  has been known to say.. Stop with all the reading and research and just enjoy  8-)

Read recently (cant find it out now - I did try) where someone quoted a professional roaster bagged the cooled beans at around the 29 to 30 degree Celcius mark.

Do you have those bookmarked or am I the only one that search is completely useless for (like most other forums)...???

                    Re: Resting beans after roasting...

I find the search here quite good.

The main caveat is to ensure that the time period searched is modified from the default of one week.

Greg, stuart - I use both those criteria and I get pages of rubbish with completely no relevance to the key word... Also have my profile time set correctly yet replies come into my email inbox with date/time up to 7 days ahead - ie. Gregs response in carrying the time stamp 3:46am 23/10/09 :-?

Id say your computer doesnt know what time it is, or there is something else wrong. Have you tried clearing your caches?

I have no such issues at all.

This is the only site I have the time/date issue - cache, cookies and any other personal data are automatically cleared when I close FF... Im not too worried about it but search, I can count on one hand the number of sites I visit that have an effective search system...

Its not the forums.. It will be a setting some where or even in the profile.. If ya set teh wrong region it will adjust to GMT.. A neat feature is your time stamping and wish to play games with peoples minds :-)

Search in CS as well as many other forums is a no brainier - ONCE you understand the way they work... Some features are shut down as it can over load even a great server / data base.

Go to the CS STICKY topic on how to use the CS search features as well as having GOOGLE do it for you... Using the Google search also by passes some of the forums restrictions...
