Sure--but only after we work out how to split the winnings!

Do you have those bookmarked or am I the only one that search is completely useless for (like most other forums)...???
Ive found the simple search box at the top of the page to be next to useless, but the actual Search Page itself can be customised & modified to produce some decent results.

If the default options could be set to All time and One result per thread that would be more helpful I think. Can this be done, anyone?

        Sam.

Cant be done as far as I know. I think it would be an admin job to change the default search preferences. Best best would be to send Andy an email but be mindful that a default of "All posts" would create a fairly big server hit it it was done every time seacrh was used.

For the few occasions I search CS, getting into the habit of changing the "This post was made in the last..." and "Display only one result per thread?" when needed isnt really that big a chore.

Errol made a great post with some great tips and is a sticky http://coffeesnobs.com.au/YaBB.pl?num=1248646363

It should be a Sticky on/IN ALL topics  and that might reduce the search issue by a few %...

Settings to the default search setting would solve some of the other users issues  by a few more %...    :-[

Doubt it will ever solve the large majority as most dont search and or dont understand know and just expect that every forum has people waiting on line to solve their problems ASAP  ;D

CS is very good in this aspect and we make a noose for our selves...  Some of the forums I belong to will delete ya post with no warning if it is  clear that you have no used the search feature..  A bit elitist; but it cuts down on every one recreating the same wheel.  Thus less overhead and less frustration by those providing lots of advice..

Yes CS could look at  some How tos and FAQ sections on some equipment ie... Silvia and teh EM6910 for eg. But it takes effort and man power..

Some one should actually do up a bookmark of Favourites - And have any number of usable links ie - Rules / Posting / Searching including other sites etc... (http://home.surewest.net/frcn/Coffee/HowToRocky.html ) And have it as a download / import function in their browser.. Even added to the CS ToolBar ..

Oh what have we become... Why can not people learn to think 4 them selves...

Back on topic: one-way valve bag em when theyre warm is the way Ive found best across all my roasts. Open to elements go stale too quickly and dont develop the same flavours as a valve-bagged one. Dunno why it happens, but my tastebuds tell me so.
