  • First Roast - burnt?

    Hi guys

Can you please give your harsh opinions on my first Corretto roast?   :

First crack was around 9.5 - 10 min and second was at 13 - 14 min.

Beans are "Brazil Pulped Natural" from the starter pack.

Are these still usable, or are they better in the bin? :-[

    thx much!

          Thanks Maheel

I have circled some of the beans below -

some have a slight charcoal look up the center, and there are some that are hollow?

          Is this normal?

                Re: First Roast - burnt?

I think I had some BPN and asked the same question about the middle bits "exploding out".

might have been another bean but yeah it is "normal"

some say the tipping is from to much heat to fast ? but i have NFI really...

The hollow ones are "shells", they would have looked like that when green and its quite normal to get some in most batches of beans.

Great looking roast though, look forward to hearing how it tasted!
