I start with warmed machine (60) then on 235 for 15 minutes. I like to roast these darker than normal as they get a great crema, and mix 1/3 MM to 2/3 lighter brazil for the chocolate flavour

With a time of approx 8 minutes for 1st-->2nd crack, Id be upping temperature a bit and aiming for 4-->6 minutes.

My last MM in Gene was: preheat and cool to 70°, 225 gms, temp set 222°. 1st at 11 minutes in, 2nd at 17 minutes, then quick cool. My notes say "try 225°". Result was just short of CS 10 in colour.

Tweaking Monsooned Malabar in Gene Cafe

    Hi folks,

So far, my best effort with this bean in the Gene has been:
No preheat, temp set at 225 for first crack at 13.5mins, and start normal cooling cycle about 30 seconds before second crack(21.0mins).

Could any Gene gurus share what they feel is a better profile ??

    Mny thanks
