Has anyone seen this logger app?

    http://homepage.ntlworld.com/green_bean/coffee/roastlogger/download.html

It does, pretty much everything. Sorry if its already been posted, only just found it.

Works on Mac OS X too.

Has a neat option for those that dont have a data logger DMM. you can set up a webcam on a non logging DMM or on a roasting machine display (eg hottop) and it will OCR the display in to the software and chart/plot/log that way. Very clever.

more info, screens, chat is here:

    Re: Roast Logger

It is a pretty brilliant piece of work and, unlike most other loggers, it works with my Uni-T UT322 DMM

One of the great things about Roast Logger is that the programmer is so approachable. A few weeks ago I contacted him asking for a HUD (heads up display) with T1, delta T1, elapsed Time, delta T2, and T2 and lo and behold the very next day a revision with HUD in place was available for download. I have used it for hundreds of roasts and find it an invaluable tool

      Re: Roast Logger

Ive used it quite a bit. Mostly the OCR on the display of the GeneCafe as a way of logging it without having to use a TC. Did that both from video recordings, and using an iPhone as a webcam. Works well.

I think this very clever App has been posted about in CS before. Definitely a very unique take on data gathering and logging.... 8-)

          Thanks James.
Ran it on my mac for the first time tonight, having just downloaded it. Easy to use. Had to go into java preferences to set Java 6 first, this is explained on the website.
Just in time my exercise book was nearly full!! :P

            Re: Roast Logger

theres two apps, one is a logger, the other is a database, have you looked at them both? the DB allows you to store -everything-. Ive not had a good play with either yet. (as I only roast once a week)
