Hi Clare- Roasting in the cold does add time to the roast- a beneficial thing with a popper. When I was regularly using my popper I was able to add 2 minutes to infinity when the temperature dropped! At 14-15 degrees it might last 9 minutes- at 10 degrees 11 minutes and at 6 degrees- :-? well I just kept on going at second crack never came! :-[
But they tasted fine!
