Has anyone ever tried double roasting (you heard it here first!)? That is where you stop the roasting process half way through, let the beans cool a bit, and then complete the roast? If so, what did you think of the result?
This happened to me recently when I was interrupted somewhere between first and second crack on a batch of the Nicaraguan Altiplano. Perhaps the technical term for this is cafinitus interruptus. Anyhooo.... having dealt with the interuptee I then returned 5 minutes later to complete the roasting of the beans (around 30 secs into a rolling second crack). The resulting beans have so far been very pleasing.
So, double roasting: Does it make a difference?

Cant help it if I overloaded my popper and it cut out. Was the longest roast Ive ever done, and not likely to do it again.
