Re: My first roast with IMex CR-100

Made an espresso this morning with my 1st roast. It was very sour with very weak body. U are right David. However, it tasted nutty after i put half a sugar in it.

I have formated my PC currently, which software can i use to reduce the size of the picture again?
If you have MS office then you could use MS Office Picture Manager.  or Adobe Photoshop or similar.

Not sure what programs you have

        Hey Tony,

Give it some time to degas....say another 3 days....and then have a crack at it. It will be way too unsettled to use now. If it is still sour as I predicted in my last post, then you need to take this bean further.

        Cheers,

        David

Probably the easiest to use and the one I use most with WinXP is the M$ PowerToys "Image Resizer" which you can download here..... Lots of other very interesting little apps in there too,

          Cheers,
          Mal.

Re: My first roast with IMex CR-100

I have recently acquired an Imex CR-100  from a fellow CS member and have been impressed with the ease of roasting. Im not sure that I heard either FC or SC over the noise of the fan so I relied on colour. My first roasts were 125g for 12m30s while the latest were 150g also for 12m30s.

I started with the sample pack roasting Panama Volcan Baru and Columbian Volcan Galeras. To my unsophisticated palate the results were excellent.

My latest roasts were the Indian Mysore Nuggets from Bean Bay and some Ugandan Bugisu from Jason at Pioneer Roastery. Two days post roast and they are smelling great. I finding it hard to wait to sample these.  :P

              Lookin good Sunny 8-),

As youve probably noticed when perusing through the various threads about roasting, the most important measure of success at the end of the day, is what the brews taste like in the cup. Let that be your guide and its hard to go wrong.

              Great roasts mate..... [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

              Mal.
