First I read that you were actually thinking of using a coffee machine to make tea
Yes..I confess this is true :-[
now you wish to create a competition that would bring out the nerd in all of us.  Nothing like a competition to make people try foolish but enlightening pastimes  :question
    Yes.. again this is true.

Maybe you have something there even if you did consider debasing/defiling a COFFEE Machine by making tea.

    Shame Shame Shame  ;D ;D :P
What can I say,... I think outside of the box occassionally.....erm and sometimes I think I think without any conscious input from my brain,......just like that last comment,.... I think. :P

            Re: Temperature measuring device

Ive just received my shipment of these probes and wanted to post my first thoughts on them before running off too the conference.

On first glance the probe tube does not appear to be filled with anything. The probes will bend to at least 45 degrees with out causing any problems with their functioning. They do appear to be made from stainless steel so they are hard to bend and you have to watch out for crimping of the tube if you try to bend it with to small of a radius.

My initial take is that with a little work I will be able to bend them into a shape that will allow their use with my Gothot. Exact positioning and attachment of them is something I will have to experiment with next week after the SCAA Conference is over.

Make sure you purge the wand after texturing(?) those eggs.... dont want your boiler to suck eggs. Thatd be a nasty shock to your future lattes.

p.s. Let me know what happens before Im tempted to try it myself haha :

Hmmm well firstly I think I got the grind on the pepper wrong,.. that could have been finer. Erm,..it had an overpowering egg flavour to it,..but I could clearly detect a sweetness with an overtone of nuttiness    and now and then,.. a real peppery nuance in there. But oddly, it developed a saltiness to it a bit later, after I added salt to taste.   It had a distinct lumpy frothly mouthfeel which really wasnt pleasant and the aftertaste was somewhat like erm.. peppered scrambled eggs
