So, I have done a few home roasts now, and graduated from an air popper to a semblance of a corretto. One thing i havent yet worked out, is how the optimum resting time for a bean post roasting is.
I initially read 2 - 3 days. Then with my first roast of monsoon malabar, the time of 2 weeks was mentioned. Same it seems for Bin 35.
So is there a guide? Is there a standard optimum? I am a little confused. Is it just an issue of trial and error?
I must say that the only roast i have done so far that didnt taste so great 3 days after roasting was the monsoon malabar, but i think i over roasted it (ok i admit it the second half of the batch did taste better after an extra week)
Am i seriously short changing myself on flavour?
