          625g became 510g
roasted as per the graph below, ran out of steam a bit from my theoretical plan at around 10mins and took too much heat out at first crack, but hopefully will work out ok

Just roasted 550g Ethiopian Ghimbi to just on second crack CS C/9.

I am hoping that they turn out Ok as the new turbo oven seams to have lost some power it took 17:22 to first crack on to second crack at 22:00.?

My normal run is more like 10:00--12:00 mins for F/C and I pull at the beginning of S/C usually around 17:00 +mins, Have to wait and see what turns up in the cup..

              Cheers gra..

With all the rain that we have had in QLD it could possibly be that the beans have absorbed more moisture content and it takes longer to expel

Thats a great looking profile, I would expect that whatever you did on that roast you will want to do again.

I like the flat, slightly positive ramp after 1st crack and doubt you would like the beans better with a shaper rise.

Had to roast between rain squalls today. Bloody weird weather... >

                          Anyway... :

                          Guatemala Huehuetenango - 400g
                          Ethiopia Gambella Naturals - 200g
                          India Madikeri Robusta - 100g

Taken to CS8-9, to the first few snaps of 2nd-Crack in the Behmor; 2 x 350g batches. Settings - 1lb, P3, C; door cracked opened just before the end of Rolling 1st-Crack and left open until the first few snaps of 2nd-Crack could be heard then hit the Cool Button.

                          Weight Loss - 16.1%

Still have some Ghimbi to finish off (love this Ghimbi) and then the bag will be cracked open

                          Mal.

Yirgacheffe 500g in the KKTO taken into 2nd crack (not quite rolling).

Kalossi 100g in the popper - taken to rolling 2nd crack.
This is very earthy, and is very good added to the Yirg, both at 50:50 and 25:75.

Ok here we go,  I buy my coffee exclusively at the Fire Roasted Coffee Company.

This day ahead, the same gentleman who served me my first pound of unroasted Hawaiian Kona coffee beans still remembers that’s what I bought.  8-)
