  • how to roast flavour coffee?

    hello everyone.

    did anyone know how to roast flavour coffee?
    i taste vietnam coffee when i was on trip of there.
    and it is really amazon for me ,first i really cant stand it.
    but then use to it ,and love it at the end.
    i bring some back to my home.
    and now want to figure out how to roast it.
    i heard there is some butter, sugar , some oil (corn?? i dont know)

    Did anyone done it before, or knows how to roast it ?

    I do not know... But you sparked an interest... As I do roast Macadima nuts on occasion..

    beans are generally roasted in what is referred to as "butter oil", which may or may not be actual clarified butter oil. Occasionally vegetable oils are used, and historically, traditional "home-grown" coffee roasting style involves creating almost a caramel-like coating effect with the use of a small amount of sugar, oil, and generally a touch of vanilla or cocoa. This coating blackens in the roast and the beans wind up with almost a thin, hard shell.
