Hope someone out there can help..
I have had my Rancilio S24 and Rocky for about three years, and after visiting your site realised my next step was roasting my own beans. I didnt want to jump in and buy a dedicated roaster so have opted to start with the Breville Crazy Popper.
Once my green beans arrived I was eager to give this a go. Got the starter pack from this site. Great idea.
Some people have said they roast any where from 120 to 250 grams. The cup only takes around 70 grams, so thats where I started. The roast took 5 mins. i think I pulled the pin before the second crack. The beans are fairly even, but like i said only managed to roast 70grams.
I left the plastic dome top on is this correct. Some have mentioned fitting exhausts. Does this just sit on the top. What is the benefit.
I can see the roasting getting serious. looking foward to tommorow morning to sample the roast.
Any tips and tricks would be much appreciated.
