I wondered if any of you superb "gadget making" types have had a go at creating a small post-roast chaff extractor or cleaner. The Hottop does an excellent job of all the other aspects of roasting including cooling, but as you possibly know, its chaff extraction can be a bit ordinary. This is not a big problem for myself, but when providing beans to others I would prefer to have them a bit cleaner. I usually swirl them around in a collander and blow on them, but besides the hygenic aspects of that, its no great shakes especially if the wind is blowing the wrong way, not to mention the bouts of dizziness that follow. I have noticed a few setups using vacuum cleaners and 5kg plastic buckets and pipes everywhere designed for cooling/chaff collection, but I envisioned something a bit smaller just for 250g-500g batches.
Any ideas for a starting point?

.
whatever hits the shed floor is just a matter of a quick broom job at end of roast.
