Im sure it will turn green beans brown quite well - but the only variable is the time I think.
It will need some Popper type modifications to control the heat - and youre going to battle to get the beans out quickly enough for a decent cooling cycle.
For the price it may be justified for experimentation purposes.

Looking at the drum in AMs post I would think it would be easier then the Behmor as it has a handle for you to lift out and dump in your bean cooler..
airflow, maybe a small fan underneath and a top vent?
element location might scorch the beans or worse still catch the chaff on fire ?
will it get to temp in under 20 minutes with a little airflow?
