We have a 35,000 BTU propane space heater we use in the winter to knock the chill off our garage while working in it.Both of us have joked about using it for roasting coffee.
LOL Now thats what I call a Heat Gun!! I wonder what its max batch size is? :-? : ;D

Way to go - sounds like fun. Certainly beats the popper for volume!
Im still using a heat gun & saucepan set up whilst awaiting a friends breadmaker to stir with...

Howdy all!!!!!!!!!!!
My 21 year old son and I have been roasting our own greens for about 4 months now.We have been using poppers. We do construction work together, remodel work and such.We have a 35,000 BTU propane space heater we use in the winter to knock the chill off our garage while working in it.Both of us have joked about using it for roasting coffee.Well on our way home today we stopped by resturant supply place and looked around and found some 10 inch wire mesh food strainers with long handles. They are round and about 6 inches deep.So both are about 12 inches together by 10 inches round. We hinged them together with some picture wire.We set the space heater up at a 45 degree angle turned that baby on with 4 cups of greens shaking the strainers like popcorn in a pan on the stove for 10 minutes until SC,pulled the beans"PERFECT ROAST".we did that 3 times. Then 8 cups for 20 minutes until SC.PERFECT Roast.I thought you folks might get a kick out of hearing a fun roasting experence.
Thanks for the srace to share.Joe in Kansas
