Roasted my first ever batch of green beans 5 days ago and could wait no longer.
I got the beanbay starter pack and decided the Brazil Pulped natural would be the first to roast.
Used a popcorn maker i picked up via the Pay it Forward section here. According to my appalling handwriting i reached 1st crack at 3:20, 2nd crack at 6:30 and then took the beans out at 7:00 and into a wire strainer where i tossed them about for 5 minutes to cool then down.
Now drinking a doppio ristretto and it is quite smoky, earthy but also has a long tangy/fruity finish. Very simple compared to Andys Espresso WOW i have been drinking the last few days which for my palate is quite a complex shot.
According to the card i think i took the beans all the way to the far right hand side. Is that CS10? There are 12 pics of the card so I am assuming the first is CS0 and the green bean so is the far right CS11?
Anyway, just had to tell someone as my partner rolled her eyes, much the same way she does when i ask her to try one of my beers.
