So, Ive decided to void my warranty already
and have drilled into the Behmor to install the thermocouple. I have limited experience in this sort of thing and have a couple of questions.
Firstly, I followed Andys instructions re: size of drill bits and found that I had to up each bit by 1mm. The thermocouple sits extremely snug on the inside hole, to the point where it kind of scrapes as I push it through. Is this ok?
Secondly, how far should it be sitting in the roaster? All the way through?
Thirdly, do I need to coat the edges of the metal with something to prevent rust?
And finally, there are some rough bits of metal on the inside hole after drilling through. Do I need to file these off?
Any advice would be much appreciated as I am not the greatest handyman, nor do I have access to one.
