I store my greens in the computer room of the house. They are in one of those polystyrene broccoli boxes but I don't use the lid. I have found it very interesting that during the winter months there is no green bean odour at all, however, once the warmer weather comes around there is a distinct green bean odour that fills the room. Even thought the house has ducted air-conditioning which is only run when needed, this is still the case with the bean odour.

Having said that, I guess the cooler would be the better.

      Hi all

I just roasted 1kg last week of my CoffeeSnobs 2009 Yemen Bani Ismail. Had it yesterday as a plunger and tonight from my Ponte Veccio Lusso. It's still very nice. I'm trying to reduce my stash of older beans and just last month finished off all my 2008 beauties. My stash is stored in my garage which having a concrete floor keeps cool and the beans are stored on selves in open plastic baskets. So far I have not had any problems with beans going off, however I have not cupped them when new and when years older, and compared them.
