Just did my first home roast in a $5 op shop Cornelius-I was surprised how discernible the cracking sound is over the fan noise-took it to just after the second cracks tapered off-color looks good-not burnt looking and they have taken on this shiny appearance as the oils have come out-tried a cup-I know it's meant to sit for a few days in Baggie but couldn't resist! Pretty good actually-looking forward to experiments! The beans were India Elephant Hills-I understand that certain types of beans are easier to roast than others-does anyone know of particular types that are NOT recommended to do in a home popper? The Cornelius seemed to do a good job of spitting out the chaff as it goes.Well trained....

Although I have had limited experience, I can say that when you get it right, It's extremely rewarding! Not too sure what goes well in a popper but I'm sure some other CS's will be able to help you out. Well done on your first roast. Any pics?
