Ok..unmodded Crazy Popper. I have posted my long roast times before.
I did a 110 gram batch of the Grace Estate this AM. Ambient temp is 21.5 degrees C.
Time for first crack was 3.5 mins - long rolling first crack, very load to about 6 mins and then second crack commenced subtly at 16 mins 45 seconds and I left the second to 17 mins neat - so 15 mins into second crack(le). Nice roast - no oil on the beans. Lots of chaf has come off. The roast is exceptionally even. Using only 110 grams with a small chimney (about 5 inches) means that beans move around a lot and get evenly roasted. Chaf comes off well and you dont lose more than 1-3 beans (ie basically no waste) generally out the top.
It seems to me that quick to the first and then such a lag to the second must be good for the roast, but I would be grateful for feedback.
Cheers
