It's ... pretty rough coffee.Originally posted by malk2 View PostCheers.I did P1 till 1st crack then P2 and didn't let it get to 2nd.The beans look well roasted but taste horrible. It may just be the variety of bean meant for dark Italian type roast.

I would've thought they'd be a fairly soft bean that would be no good for using the P1 setting on as its too hot. I'd try P3, P4 or P5.Originally posted by malk2 View PostCheers.I did P1 till 1st crack then P2 and didn't let it get to 2nd.The beans look well roasted but taste horrible. It may just be the variety of bean meant for dark Italian type roast.

I roasted some Mareeba Peaberry in my Behmor (200g) on P5D (manual as well), and pressed P2 (25% power) at first crack, run 30 seconds and cool. Gentle heat seems best.Originally posted by malk2 View PostAny idea on roasting dry processed Byron Bay beans in a behmor-auto/manual combo?not having much success so far.
