Hello everyone,
I have just joined the home roasting community with a new Behmor 1600 plus, and am already loving it!!. I have spent countless hours researching the process of roasting coffee and have noted a consistent suggestion is maintaining a "journal" where each roast is documented. So I have created a journal and completed a few roasts over the last 2 days with some great results (thanks Dimal for the Peru Ceja de Selva AAA & Ethiopian Ghimbi blend suggestion), but I am worried about repeatability as the whole roast process still feels like a whirlwind to me. In my Journal I have been recording:
I have been using the time delta between the "rosetta interval" and the "roast stop time" to replicate the roast; however, I am worried that when I change the batch size I wont be able to replicate with the data I am logging.
So how does everyone else do it? I am extremely open to suggestions and any feedback which can improve my roasting

- Batch size
- Profile
- Time to first crack
- Time to second crack (if applicable)
- Time roast stopped with Rosetta stone interval applied at 1C
- Tasting Notes
