I had an err on mine trigger after a period of time (sorry can't recall but it's on here somewhere if you do a search), ended up being an issue with the control panel (not main board).

Might not be your issue but it wasn't the main board on mine (which the error was pointing to).

Either way Behmor and Andy are very helpful.

    Cheers

I had err5 straight out of the box, one of the dc fans was dead on arrival.

Tech support were great, new fan organised to be sent the same day, after they got me to do a couple quick tests to make sure it wasn't the board.

They did give me a work around until the new one arrived so I could still get into the swing of it.

Contacting Behmor Tech Support is always the best first point of call
It's always far better than a random post here. They might be able to help quickly (and accurately) and even if they can't by contacting them first they build a "pattern" of problems so if there is a high failure rate on a component they would see a pattern early and be able to warn owners and/or make design changes to suit.

Contact Andy with the error details and I'm sure he'll do all he can

Yep, great advice. Using the Contact us on the top any bottom of every one of the forums 33,000 threads is always the best method to get me fast.

Certainly the first thing to check.

Per the manual, the 12v fan in the triangle housing above the circuit board should be clean and spin easily. If it's gummed-up with gunk the housing will get hot, the thermistor on the back of that housing will send an ERR5 to the control board.

Every ERR5 that I've seen over the years has been due to the fan not spinning which could be caused by the fan or by the circuitry that drives it.

I don't need to know what the error is, they do. My intent was to get the OP to read the manual first rather than spoon feed them. Teach a man to fish....

Actually it's most likely a circuit board problem judging from past users who have seen this error. Rather than us guessing at which part it is best to go to the experts and get their help in diagnosing which part is the problem. Hence why contacting tech support will be the easiest way to diagnose the problem and get the proper replacement part on it's way.

Contact Andy with the error details and I'm sure he'll do all he can. He sent me a new circuit board, some great instructions and I installed it myself. Behmor customer service is first class.
