    G'day Tim...

Are you using your laptop with the charger attached and turned on? If so, try running on battery alone as this will remove any earth related couplings that might crop up...

Tanks @tmsargent but I don't think that's the case for me. @andy any ideas?

yes - sorry. Early in on the roast. When I enter in a manual comment - it takes that as the temp reading at that time and spikes my ROR readings. Seems strange. So if I type a long manual comment - it makes a larger spike. Exactly as Java "right on the money" phile

I reckon the OP is reading something into the fact that that some of the 'dips' in the ROR line seem to coincide with when he/she entered a manual comment (e.g. 'first crack'). As you say looks pretty normal, probably a spurious correlation.

I think he's talking about the spike in the RoR being associated with the manually entered tag.

Sorry, I have no idea what your problem is and the attached image looks fine.

Can you reword the question maybe?

    Hi guys,
Im getting an error where if I type a manual comment - its jumping up the ROR value below.
Sorry if ive missed something had a look through the forums.. Seems to have just started so wondering if ive done something silly?
Please ignore the first crack values - im going to alter them to reflect my changes in heat
