Fatboy is on the money, use a coarse sieve, will get rid of any debris, anything that won't pass through the sieve should be easy enough to pick out by hand.

I wouldn't rinse them. Perhaps put them in a sieve of some kind and blow air upwards through them and stir. Should blow away most of whatever they picked up and the rest will be roasted away.

I'd just dust them off. You are roasting them anyway

    3 second rule??

Not sure but my guess is it would be fine. Give it a go regardless, worst case they taste like sh!t and you serve them to the guests you don’t like!

    Cheers

Dropped some green coffee in the balcony

    Hey there everyone!

Dropped some green coffee in the balcony before roasting.. Does it hurt to just rinse these beans and dry them before roasting again? Understand they have been processed separately prior to this.

Anyone had such an experience and compared the outcomes before?
Working...
