    The above posts are spot-on.

    * Colder green beans require more heat to get to 1st crack.
    * Colder ambient air temperature means the roaster (all roasters!) take longer to heat to the same internal temperature.
    * 2 Minutes longer to 1st crack is two minutes longer, certainly not baking and they probably taste fine (sometimes better with more body!)

Easiest fix per above is take some beans out.

X amount of heat applied remains the same all year round, adjust your starting volume to suit colder and hotter ambient bean and air temperatures.

The adjustments on my commercial roaster are even more vast as it draws a lot more air but it's easy to adjust for when you understand why it happens.

As above. Take 20grams off the payload, leave settings as before and see what happens. Also, have you been giving the machine it's routine cleaning (i.e. Simple Green wipedown and dry burn every 4 or 5 roasts, take side and back off to clean the exhaust and fan area every few months)?

I think CafeLotta is right about colder weather. Try smaller batches or roasting later in the day if you usually roast in the mornings. Also agree that if an upgrade is worthwhile if you don't have a Behmor 1600 Plus

Could be colder weather or older beans?

If not, have you been in touch with Andy at https://coffeesnobs.com.au/sendmessage.php ?

My original Behmor 1600 did this too but eventually just baked, couldn't get to 1st crack. After trying various things, upgrading the front control/display panel to the Behmor 1600 Plus version fixed my problem.
