I noticed that under one of these listings, there was a roaster that looked like a powered hotpot/casserole cooker but it had 2 rotating metal arms. This looked more like a coretto with built-in heat generation but the only issue could be does it get hot enough? Output was listed as 800W but many were only 110V, the 220V versions were closer to $100 in price.

Thanks. Had a look on gumtree and there's a small number of breadmakers at reasonable prices in Perth. I think I'll just have to keep an eye out.Originally posted by 338 View PostSome corretto just have the ability to knead for 20 minutes ( my first did), no mod required.
I wish I'd kept my old breadmaker - it died a few years ago after many years of service. The motor still ran, but the element had given up.

Rod that looks like it needs a heat resistant box around it to keep adequate heat in and also away from the motor. I think it would be hard to get a satisfactory result without that.

Hi all
Anyone tried using these?

A search will bring it up. Much as I'd like a real roaster from a sponsor, my cash won't stretch that far at the moment. A corretto would also be interesting, but I fear the mods to get the BM to spin are also beyond me.
This basically looks like a drum with a small motor to rotate it. It needs a heat source added, so I though the heat gun might work with it.
The alternative for my level of skill might be a bowl with a drill powered paddle.Tags: None
