Ive had no problems re-roasting beans. But as Java said the beans cant have reached 1st crack.

Generally Ive found re-roasted beans to be quite nice. Maybe not brilliant but satisfactory

    Re: re-roasting beans

Roastus Interruptus is never very good.

I had a quick power cut today for about 10 seconds and just left the beans in the popper. They seem to be okay. I havent cupped them yet though.

    Steve,

Well yes.... sometimes - but generally nope!!!

Ive had "roastus interruptus" ;D a few times (thanks to Western Power).... and generally if the beans cool before 1st crack they seem to take further roasting and still taste pretty good (but not as good)....

From my experience post 1st crack they become slater food.... or just plain fertilizer.... just drinkable if you are really lucky..... you get a toasted flavour...

    re-roasting beans

Ok been a few weeks since my last dumb question so heres another one...

Couple of days ago I roasted a kilo of brasilians, just realised that I stuffed it and need to be roasted more, is this possible?
Why? cos I wasnt really paying attn first time and roasted these puppies too light which tastes like crap, so they need a bit more, so before I get all excited does it work?
    Any tried it?

    Thanks

    Steve :-/
