Hello,
Im really sorry if this has been asked before, but I did search first I promise!
I currently have a gaggia espresso deluxe which Ive had for three years or so. Ive finally got myself to the point (after a year long enforced absence from coffee) of buying myself a grinder. Well, Ill be buying it very soon, on or before next payday. Ive decided on a Sunbeam 0480 as I really cant afford to go any better, and the reviews of it look pretty good.
My question is: I plan to also buy myself a popcorn popper and start to roast my own coffee at home soon. Is it a bad idea to start doing both new things at the same time? Should I wait until Im a bit accustomed to grinding my own beans before I start roasting, to reduce the number of variables? Or just fling myself in headfirst and hope I dont drown? I tend to charge ahead regardless, but thought I would be sensible for once and ask advice..
Thanks!
