My DMM seemed to be stuck on about 40 C when I turned it on (ambient temp was about 27 C). About 3 mins into the roast and it was still showing only 40 C. Then at 4 mins into the roast it was another bugger - the power board tripped and turned the breadmaker and heat gun off. I switched power boards but the breadmaker wouldnt cooperate - it wanted to cool down before it would restart. I fanned air over it to speed it up but by the time I re-started the roast it was probably about 7 or 8 mins later. When the power stopped the beans were just on the verge of turning that olive-green-brown type colour with a bit of chaff starting to appear.
Is it likely the roast was stalled for too long and I have ruined the beans or is stalling more serious later in the roast ? I have roasted another batch just in case.
Also, has anyone experienced this sort of strange behaviour with their DMM. Mine has only been used 3 or 4 times.
Thanks
Chris
