Re: Ryobi HG Cooked or Not???
Hi Java,
Yes I do have a fan but it was not sitting as close as it normally is and also I had to turn the HG up to 650 for a burst as the 400gm roast (I usually only roast 600gm) was a bit harder to control than 600gms.
Sounds like the combination of the 2 differences stuffed things up a bit :-[
Its all good cheers ! 8-)

Re: Ryobi HG Cooked or Not???
Do you have a fan blowing at the HG and over the roast to remove hot air?
All heatguns have a thermal overload..... and if they suck the hot air back into the inlet they will overheat!!
None of them are designed to blast hot air into a container where it bounces back at them...... the fan blows this expelled air (and chaff) away before it can do any harm!

Ryobi HG Cooked or Not???
My fairly new Ryobi HG model EHG 2002LED, lost power near SC about 15mins in.
The power (noise) quietened down to just able to hear it and very little heat coming out?
Tried to use it a couple of minutes later and it still only ran at less than hair dryer temp, any ideas team.
Either the BM or HG has made a beeping sound on recent occasions near the end of a roast ( I assumed it was the BM getting near the end of cycle) now I thinking the HG might have a cut out switch???
