Hi guys
First every popcorn roast last Saturday (breville crazy popper). No temperature mods but i reckon i'm getting a good 6 to 8 mins roast time with the lid off and a fan.
Unfortunately i'm experience intense channelling when pulling a shot (using a naked portafilter) on ALL of my batches (different times and types of beans, maybe 6 all up so far).
It has nothing to do with grinder fineness or distribution - I am completely consistent and have tried various fineness's.
I pulled a shot at 12 hours, 24 hours and 48 hours after roasts and all of them encountered intense channelling.
What could be the cause? Could it be uneven roasting of the beans? Not letting them degas enough? Not roasted enough / too much?
I'm really stumped....
