Hi Guys,
Still very new to roasting. I'm currently roasting with a Gene Cafe and a makeshift bean cooler. Still learning and getting good results on natural processed beans. However, I find when I attempt to roast washed beans, first crack normally happens very late and at the end of first crack there is still plenty of chaff stuck on the bean. If I continue to roast to get rid of the chaff, I end up toasting the bean.
Does any one have any tips that they could share with me? Particularly for roasting a washed bean on the Gene Cafe? Any feedback/advice will be greatly appreciated.
Currently I have the following washed beans from Andy.
Cheers Phu.
