I used to use a mini springform non stick cake pan without the base attached. $2 from Kmart (https://www.kmart.com.au/product/min...ake-pan/192351)
It's larger than the diameter of the popcorn chamber, but the popper I used had a slight slope down into the chamber, so beans mostly 'slipped' back in. The ones that didn't got nudge from a pen.

Chimney for popper, which tin can?

Years ago, I used John West Pink Salmon tins.
Worked well as the tins have a slight taper from top to bottom which makes for a good fit into most poppers.
Didn't have a coating back then but might now. Worth a check anyway...

Perhaps visit your local exhaust/muffler joint with the measurement of the chimney you need, chances are he will have an off cut laying around that could do the job. Most exhaust tubing nowadays is stainless (not high grade) so generally corrosion resistant.....

From what I just googled, it is a resin lining that reduces the chances of the tin's contents reacting with the container. It's a plastic, so I'd be avoiding these tins as the heat from the popper could melt the lining.

Chimney for popper, which tin can?
hello all,
I have a question, I've opened up two cans of imported Italian tomatoes of different brands (Mutti and La Gina), and both of them inside had white, cream coating against the inside walls. I was surprised I was excepting tin coating inside as I once use a baked beans can.
So what is this white coating and is it safe to use it as a chimney without any risks this coating will come off?
thanks Daisy
